- Happily married to Michael, a philosophy professor at Canisius College on a Fulbright to teach American philosophy at Xiamen University. We have three children -- Thomas (bio), Helen (adopted from China) and Sophia (adopted domestically). I am a professional social worker ready for a year of fun at "home" in China!

Hi Ann- I found your blog through a google search- it looks like your family had a fabulous year in Xiamen. I'm a licensed clinical social worker in California with four children adopted from China (four adult bio sons, too). My youngest son, who is now 9 years old is from Xiamen, and was adopted in 7/2007. We are considering a move to Xiamen in the next year and would appreciate any thoughts you might have about finding work there. Or anything else you might have thoughts about! You have a lovely family!
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
